but first, lemme give you some information about Charles Darwin!

Full Name: Charles Robert Darwin
Birth Date: 12 February 1809
Death Date: 19 April 1882 (Aged 73)
Nationality: British

Works:
He presented a theory that all species of life had evolved from common ancestors (Natural Selection), which is widely used as a primary explanation for the process of evolution. It then formed the basis of the Modern Evolutionary Theory. Charles Darwin's scientific discovery then became the the unifying theory of the Life Sciences, providing logical explanation of the diversity of life.
He has 27 published works and had written a few books, all to which helped in the development of discovery and sciences. In recognition of his works, he was one of the only five 19th century UK non-royal personages to be honoured by a state funeral, and he was burried in Westminster Abbey, close to John Herschel and Isaac Newton.

Firstly, I will like to wish Mrs. Soo A Happy Birthday Today! She's 30 years old already! Wow! Years have passed so quick. May I take this opportunity to wish her all the best in her future.haha..

There are three car parks at West Coast Park located along West Coast Highway.By bus: Take services 176 or 175 and alight directly in front of West Coast Park. You can also take services 30, 51, and 143, alight in front of Clementi Woods Park (West Coast Road) and take a 5 minutes walk through West Coast Link to West Coast Park Area 3 (near to the Adventure Playground). .

i seriously have no idea where is that pit situated.and i have no idea how to get to west coast.so if any kind souls know, please help!im going to order the food from a caterer, and with the number of 27 confirmed, plus maybe some teachers, i think im just going to order the meal for 30-35people.it'll cost $10 each. im absorbing the bbq pit price. so yeah.i think the bbq is from 12pm to 8am(the next day).is it okay to have a BBQ lunch?cos at night, some people wont be able to make it as they might have curfews.if all goes on smoothly, i plan to reach there at 12.15pm and start setting up.lunch will start from 1.30pm.to maybe around 3-4pm.then its own time own target.those who wanna play can go play.:)tell me if you have any other suggestions of the plans.thanks.

though im still ~~not happy~~, and i know you arent satisfied too, we shant talk about it anymore.

anyways, as agreed with kaifeng, we will be having 2 class outings.
but this one that im talking about would be for all the darwinians only.
i know you guys want more ppl in but the point is that mr ong would be there and they would feel awkward.
dont blame me cos im thinking in their shoes.

i have narrowed down the date range from 9June to 22June as this is the time when both JC+MI and Poly students have their holidays/breaks.
im not quite sure about the other people who are not under the above catagories though..

however, mr ong, being a busy man (AS ALWAYS), is only available from 10June to 13June.
and he would rather have a BBQ rather than movie+meal out due to some HAHAHAH reasons.

BUT the problem is,
FUNDINGS.
for bbq and all, we need quite a sum for food and drinks.
not to mention the pits and utensils.

i estimate that the cost for each person to be from $8 to $15 dollars,
depending on the number of people and the type of food.
and how much would the booking of pits cost.
do rmb there is more than a month to the above stated date.
so you should have enough time to save up.

the other suggested plan is just a meal out.
but there are factors of consideration like
the place- where can we eat with so many ppl AND must be halal?
the price- restaurants/eateries' food dont come cheap as well.
the food- what type of food is accepted my everyone?

the tentative date for this outing is
10June 2008, tuesday.
please keep the day free and i hope you would join us.

if there is a bbq, we might also call some other teachers down.
so keep yourself updated!
AND keep your pockets full (of cash!)

those who have problems with making it on the 10June, please inform me.
i'll tabulate the numbers and opt for the date when most people can make it.

so i've been thinking of organising a get-together.

kaifeng and dont-know-who is organising an outing to SENTOSA (AGAIN) on the 14th June.
but remember the last outing?
the guys and girls went different ways.
that aint no class outing.
there were no class spirit cos the guys wanted to swim and just merely did what they wanted.
im not pin-pointing anyone here, so no offence.

what i want is a proper class outing, with everyone beside everyone.
i wanna see not only the few that im close to, but even those that i dont use to speak much to as well.
yes, i want EVERYONE.

March Class Outing.

Ok since the idea of going to a movie, followed by a buffet is not quite responsive. I will need you all to give suggestions. Right now, there's 2 suggestions. (thank god!)

Suggestion 1.

How about Keith's idea of going to K-box? We can meet up for lunch and then head to somewhere's K-box. However there's only 2 microphones there. So we might have to like, take turns to sing or something. And how about the combination of K-box and pool?

Suggestion 2.

Kaifeng the jellypigfish prefers the big yellow/orange/whatever sun. So his idea is that we all head down to Sentosa to have a perfect sun tanning session and other activities which we're able to find there. The last time i went there with Md.Hakim Limei and Ain, there seems to have a bike rental thing. So sounds good yeah? The entrance fee will be 3$ only. However, we'll have to settle the food and etc by ourselves.

Anw let me side track a little. Ok i take it as everyone agrees that the Class Outing should be during March holiday right? Cause we need people like Pei Xuan to liven up the outing hahaha. So Class Outing during March holiday? Please also indicate in the tagboard which suggestion you all prefer. Suggestion 1 by Keith, Suggestion 2 by Kaifeng. If there's any other suggestion, please refer to the Tagboard. Thank You.
